hello folks, well we got on the road almost two weeks ago, and we've settled into our routine and I couldn't bear to get to work and write a blog, mainly from pure laziness : ) So much has happened in a short time. We set off with our first show in Newcastle and Maitland. With the lovely local act 'Vintage Season' opening for us at the Royal Exchange Theatre. A beautiful duo of Emily and Jarrel.

Back in April, Stewart and I were invited to play at the Merriwa Festival, near Musswellbrook. The fella that booked us to play saw us playing in Mataranka in the Northern Territory last year on tour and so it was a lovely re-union. Not only did we peform, but we taught a songwriting workshops for the interested folks who came to the festival. With a handful of us, we wrote a song called 'Tin Toilet', inspired by a tin toilet that Marg and Steve used to hang near when they were teenagers. Before we finished the workshop, we told them we were going on the road and we'd be in Newcastle in May for our tour and we'd love to pop in to their place and record the song with them as a group. And sure enough Marg and Steve made it happen and we now have a recording of the 'Tin Toilet'. Check out the video of the recording day. Lots of fun.

We are now in Bangalow, the weather is warm, a bit of rain, but very nice indeed. We have a few days rest before we get back on stage. I'm suffering from a little bit of a cold but it's alright!!
