SNEZ Winter Tour Update - Running Loose in Noosa

House Concert in Brisbane - Photo by Gabe Monson
So far our tour has been amazing. We've had some really great concerts, with attentive audiences between Bellingen and Noosa. Met so many interesting people.
We were hanging around after our show in Mullumbimby, and we recognised Tony Barry, a well known actor, in the audience. He's played in so many Australian TV Dramas and movies including Australia, Blue Heelers, Water Rats, All Saints. We had a chat with him and he told us that he was even the guy that put an end to 'A Country Practice' by burning down Wandin Valley! That was pretty cool chatting with him - I was obsessed with A Country Practice when I was growing up - Even though that may be very uncool to admit to.

We also had such a memorable house concert in the Brissie area hosted by Shez and Gabe. What a wonderful experience. Our audience joined in on our dog choir on Crazy Dog and they sounded like a 'fine pack of dogs' too : )

In between all this we've had a few radio interviews with local stations and the ABC, it's always great having a chat and playing some tunes.  Check out the video if you get a chance.

We've just been in Noosa (gotta love that swimming!) and did another house concert there, hosted by our friends Christine Barnes and Music Producer Richard Porteous. A lovely afternoon of music, food and chatting. One audience member claimed that she had never seen an older man have so much fun on stage as Stewart does.... I told her "I'll tell Stewart you said he was immature!"
The concert was opened with music by Slim Pickens and Richard Porteous.

So next stop for us is Toowoomba, we're performing at a retirement village called 'Drayton Villas' where we'll be sharing some stories and songs with the residents. They bring a plate of food each and a gold coin donation and we get to talk with them about their lives after we perform - and end up with LOT of coins for our laundry!. We did this show last year and it was so much fun - who know's it may inspire a song or two!

Okay folks, sorry it's taken so long to write a blog, but I promise to get one up and running quicker next time.

Smell ya later
Snez & Stew
